Brett is the principal partner managing aspects of the firm's professional development and project production. He spends his time focusing on client relations, marketing, and project design & delivery.
His educational background includes a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University. He studied abroad in Italy, and has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia focusing on regional architecture and its historical impact on local societies. He maintains current professional registration in the State of Texas, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Texas Society of Architects, and the Austin AIA. His previous work experience includes stints with ACI in Overland Park, KS concentrating on Healthcare projects; O'Neill Conrad Oppelt in San Antonio, producing schools and related educational facilities; and Merriman Associates/Architects in Dallas, working on multi-family, office, retail, institutional, manufacturing, and hospitality architecture.
Hisbroad architecture experiences have given him a solid understanding ofdiffering building archetypes and appropriate design applications toeach. He has the knowledge to employ cost-effectiveand environmentally sensitive design in a variety of building types,and has worked on project budgets ranging from $1 million to $50million. He has formed close working relationshipswith local, national and international clients and prides himself onthe continuation of these relationships.
Brettbalances his work life with his personal life, and enjoys spending timewith his wife, Tara, his son, Gage, and his dog, Maris. His hobbies include outdoor photography, hiking, and trail running. |
